Facebook blocks page with 5 million followers with the justification of the presence of a virus that it cannot eliminate

Novembro 6, 2024 Não Por love amem

The page https://www.facebook.com/loveamem with 5 million followers, has not been able to publish images, stories and reels since 09/16/2023. On the Facebook website, Meta says that the page has no restrictions or problems and is recommended as you can see in the image below.

The page also did not have any restrictions as you can see in the image below.

After numerous attempts by the page administrator to contact Facebook technical support since 09/16/2023, he only received a response after overwriting the Meta verification code, this month of November 2024.

After 2 attempts to resolve the problem and having given all the information to support, nothing was resolved. According to Facebook support, a virus that they cannot eliminate is running through the system and they have restricted the publication of images, reels and stories on the page.

Support sent the following response regarding the problem: “Based on what we have identified, your page really does have limited tools. This happens because our systems have identified the presence of a virus or other threat on a device used to log into the page that has the limitation. To prevent the virus from spreading to other accounts, including those of other users, or from taking over your Profile, our security systems automatically trigger neutralization measures, including limiting some actions that this account can take (such as posting). In general, our system can neutralize and completely remove the threat in a few days, but there are software that are more complex to remove, some even blend into the website code, and these can cause long-lasting blocks like yours. This is done to maintain the security of the platform, and your own.”

The support team also gave the following instructions: “Just to recap our conversation, you contacted us because you haven’t been able to post for quite some time. I told you that our system identified a virus or other threat on a device used to log in to the page and limited the tool. Since you already post on another account, we recommend that you migrate to this new account and, if possible, leverage engagement using the limited account, since you can share through it. Please know that we did everything within our power to help today, so we will be concluding this service. It is a pleasure for us to be able to offer a welcoming experience for you here on our Meta support channel! If you have any additional questions, just get back in touch and we will be ready to guide you! We are available at the link: https://www.facebook.com/help/178774494481770/ We at the Meta Pro Team thank you for contacting us, have a great day!” In conclusion, the page has not been able to publish images, reels or stories to this day, with Facebook justifying that there is a virus in the system that it cannot eliminate. The page can only publish links and text.

The administrator of the blocked page says that the justification is invalid and that all devices that access Facebook are protected with antivirus. The other pages that the administrator owned and that are on the same account have not been restricted in any way, so the justification for restricting publications on the page https://www.facebook.com/loveamem is unfounded.
